I commend the Department of Labor and Industry for issuing this proposed emergency standard, and I urge the Board to adopt the standard with the removal of one paragraph which undermines the rest of the standard.  

Paragraph G on page 6 allows employers to ignore this standard if they comply with CDC guidance. CDC publications are only suggestions and this paragraph can destroy the whole purpose of this emergency standard. I would ask that this paragraph be deleted. 

This pandemic is disproportionately harming people of color and low income families. By adopting this standard, the Board is providing a critical template for keeping all Virginians safe.  Thank you for your efforts.
