Science, not hysteria, need to rule the day

No masks!

It is a well known fact that cloth masks cannot stop a virus. The bogus excuse for the mandate was said to be asymptomatic spread, which we now know is rare. Likewise, presymtomatic spread, for the same reason. If you have no symptoms, then you aren’t coughing and sneezing; in other words you have to be in close confines: within breathing distance for a prolonged period. It is NOT spread walking down a grocery aisle past someone or through other casual contact.

Nearly every city that suffered a significant outbreak has something in common: wide use of public transportation where people were in close confines for extended periods of time.

It is bad enough that the governor has grossly abused his executive authority by maintaining a state of emergency indefinitely, particularly when the commonwealth never actually experienced a medical emergency.

His mandates and delays have ruined the economy, and his and the department of health’s lack of action in protecting seniors in state-run facilities is borderline criminal since it was known early in the spread of the virus that it mostly killed seniors.

The very concept of the legislation being considered is a gross over step by the government.
