I own and operate a general dental practice in Colonial Heights, Virginia. I support the Virginia Dental Associations position that dental offices should be exempted from the proposed emergency temporary standards and emergency regulations. Dental offices are already stocked with and have for many decades used PPE and held themselves to high infection control standards. The proposed emergency temporary standards and emergency regulations would do nothing to improve infection control in dental offices, but would add an additional and burdensome layer of documentation and reporting requirements.
