There was a successful flattening of the curve, which was the intended purpose of mask wearing and social distancing. A 6 month mandate is not only absurd, but is an overstep by the state government and the absurdity that is our governor. When and IF there is a second, substantial wave of COVID cases, revisit the idea of mandated mask wearing. It has already gone on so long that almost no one is wearing a mask properly. In addition, social distancing measures are in place but are being ignored. There is no effectiveness to the mandate if citizens are held hostage to them because the government thinks the extremes are the best course of action. This virus that isn’t going away any time soon, but it’s time to open up responsibly. This isn’t responsible. It’s arrogant and foolish.
