It should absolutely be an individuals choice as to wear a mask or not. Several studies shown them to be completely ineffective as the size of a virus particle can flow right through the pore of a mask as though putting up a chain link fence to keep mosquitoes out. It forces the person to breathe back in their own CO2, creates a cesspool of germs on the mask around the mouth and reduces oxygen levels particularly when worn for long periods of time. I spoke to a nurse at UVA hospital and she had to wear hers for 12 hours and said it was almost unbearable and that it is bad for you. Of course other doctors have spoken publicly about not only how ineffective it is but dangerous to one's health. Over 600 doctors held a seminar around the world speaking on this. The WHO has waivered multiple times about whether they even recommending anyone wearing them or not and then of course there are my civil liberties which come first and foremost in a free republic such as the United States.
