As a law-abiding citizen of the Commonwealth and an owner of a Concealed Carry Permit, I would like to be able to legally carry a firearm into State Forests, especially when I have my grandchildren with me.  I want to be able to protect them if needed.  Preventing law-abiding citizens from legally carrying a firearm sends a message to predators and criminals that they have a "safe" area to perpetrate their crimes in our State Forests and actually increases the chances for violence, rather than encouraging them to go elsewhere to perpetrate their crimes.
