Approving the concealed carry of firearms for properly licensed individuals will help to ensure visitors' safety through: 1) deterring potential criminal offenders (potential offenders will have have much higher perceived probabilities of immediate and serious consequences associated with criminal acts against visitors); and 2) self-defense when human and non-human animals threaten bodily harm or death.
