Firearms in state parks

I am writing to ask that VA regulation regarding the carry of concealed firearms be uniform. The danger from criminals does not stop at the entrance to a park. Parks would be an excellent place for criminals to seek victims unable to fight back, not only for their seclusion, but because they know that people are disallowed the right of self-protection there. It saddens me that I have had to give up taking my family to VA parks because to do so means that I have to leave them defenseless, since VA does not provide for my family's protection, and has deprived me the right of doing so. I hope you will straighten out this situation and reinstitute the recognition of the right for legaly armed and permitted Virginians to have the means to protect their families everywhere in the Commonwealth, including its state parks.
