Since abortion facilities operate under the guise of healthcare, they must adhere to the regulatory standards of other healthcare facilities.  In providing a procedure which has the very real potential for a woman to bleed to death, abortion facilities owe it to their patients to maintain the highest standards of care for their pregnant clients.  However, because the industry will not self-regulate, the government must take on this role.
