As a physician and advocate for human health, I oppose any additional regulation of Women’s Health Clinics. The regulations are clearly suggested for political and not medical reasons. They place undue burdens on women. Many women have compelling medical and social reasons to undergo these procedures and need access to the safe, medically compliant centers we have in place in VA. If some of these centers are forced to close, lower and middle income women will become forced to obtain abortions in unsafe environments which will lead to morbidity and mortality. Please protect human lives by not increasing unnecessary regulations. Thank you for your time.
