Abortion is a safe medical procedure and there is ample scientific evidence showing this to be the case. Adding useless, non-evidence based hoops to jump through do not make this already very safe procedure safer and should not be added for the sole purpose of restricting or limiting access to this procedure. 

If people desire to reduce the need for abortion, then easy access to appropriate education about one's body, contraception, and medical care if pregnancy occurs, will go far further to  decrease abortion than obstructive policies.
