Identical medical standards must be upheld in any and every location where medical procedures occur. From ear piercing and tattoos to open heart surgery, basic cleanliness and sterilization protocol are required by law. Abortion is a medical procedure during which substandard cleanliness can lead to patient injury. There is no excuse for ANY medical procedure to be unregulated where sterilization and procedure-room protocols are concerned. Abortion, as a medical procedure, requires more oversight, not less.
