After hearing horrifying stories from my friends of false promises of "liberation", coercion, manipulation, and guilt-inflicting narratives; I have realized that most people go to conversion therapy to satisfy someone else. Our citizens deserve to feel safe and proud in their own skin and experiences. It has been shown time and time again from the countless accounts of personal experiences that conversion therapy is not only not helpful, but mentally and emotionally harmful to those subjected to it. It is time to honor our citizens, their stories, and their expressions by banning conversion therapy.
