Restraints and seclusion cause trauma and PTSD.

Schools should be a safe place for our children! They should not be causing emotional or physical harm. We had to remove my kindergartener mid-year because not only didnit become an unsafe environment for him, but it he was miserable there. It was a struggle just getting him on the bus and since he couldn’t communicate his day, we counted on his teacher to do it for us. That was a mistake because she was the one instigating everything and covering it up. They say I walked into his class room, no kids were in there but my son was in the class bathroom alone and the principal was holding the bathroom door. He couldn’t get out and she wouldn’t let me in. When I finally got in he had bruises on his arm and scrapes on his back. The past 1.5 years have been spent homeschooling and healing. He’s still not over the trauma of the 5 months he spent at that school. That is not ok!
