I have seen the movie, Gosnell, two times this past week. I do not equate any abortion clinic in Virginia with the travesty in Philadelphia. I was struck by the incapacity of the Department of Health in Pennsylvania to inspect the clinics of the Commonwealth by virtue of the orders coming from Gov. Tom Ridge, Republican.

My point at this time is that any abortion clinic anywhere needs oversight. Human beings are involved in a procedure that apparently is very simple and at the same time is charged with emotion in the clinic. There is certainly emotion outside every clinic which leads to this comments period. May the regulations stay in place as a control that even much lesser offenses against the humanity of unborn children might be avoided. My belief: the preborn being in the womb is entitled to the same care and concern that would be given to any human being. My belief and one that is scientifically supported is that in the womb is a full human being at the beginning of a dynamic process of development that dramatically changes at birth and continues to change throughout life.  Thank you.
