The role of the EHS after licensure is unclear.It is clear that DPOR isn’t responsible for public health as is the Health Department.If the over-site the Health Department does now is only to be done on a complaint basis public health will not be served.If the Health Department only field reviews 10% of the systems then public health will not be served. There is more at stake than the possibility of a stinky yard.I hope the Health Department doesn’t feel that it can abandon the on-site wastewater over-site problem to DPOR.Failure rates will increase if government over-site is abandoned.
