I have been a member of RVDS for 36 years. RVDS has always been an excellent provider of quality educational programs. Also, because of Roanoke's location, the RVDS' meetings are easily accessible to the surrounding area dentists. I cannot see any valid reasons to not have RVDS receive continuing education credit for its programs and lectures. I totally concur with one of our member's comments regarding the Virginia Board of Dentistry's acknowledgement of credits from the dental assistants' society and the dental hygienists' society but not from RVDS. This truly is totally backwards.
Your consideration of this petition is greatly appreciated. I am confident you will see the merit of our request.
Sincerely,
H. Merritt Sparger, Jr., D.D.S.
