I am an Emergency Department nurse. Almost weekly, we are called to care for a woman who has had an abortion and is suffering from complications of the procedure. This is too much. I understand that complications happen, but if any other practitioner had that many patients coming to the Emergency Department for complications, he or she would be hauled up before the Board of Medicine! These centers for abortion apparently require more oversite than they currently have. If they are going to perform these procedures, at least they need to do it well.
