Governor McAuliffe,
Why would you make less stringent regulations for abortion clinics when a woman's actual life may be at stake? Several years ago, I had some foot surgery in a surgery center. I developed a severe infection that almost threatened the loss of my foot or leg. I spent the next 3months having a nurse come 2 x a week to cleanse the wound and going to a wound clinic at Inova hospital before it healed. The same thing can happen to a woman if the conditions in the abortion clinic are not perfectly sanitary.
Also they needed certified, trained personnel in each clinic not those who had on the job training. Another thing is they need to have spaces that an ambulance crew could come in to remove women whose abortion has gone wrong. It is an invasive procedure. They also need a hospital that will cooperate to take women whose abortion has gone wrong.
They also need outside lab work done to certify that they actually removed fetal material. The abortion clinic cannot certify this because it leaves it open to unethical practices..If you do not value the woman's life enough to keep this rules in places, you do not value the woman above the abortion practice. Veterinary clinics have more stringent sanitation practices than some abortion clinics. Are we worth less than pets.
