I support the recent decision by the Virginia Borad of Health to reduce restrictions on access to women's health care centers in Virginia. In my view, the orginal set of restrictions were intended to deny access to abortion and nothing else. Three of the 21 health centers for women have already closed. If the restrictions had not been changed, others would be forced to close, denying critical health care for thousands of women. I urge the Board to ease or get rid of all other restrictions that pose a threat to the well-being of women in the state of Virginia.
