I oppose the proposal to disallow expired IDs to serve as a valid form of voter identification.

I served for many years as a chief elections officer in Fairfax County and never - never - encountered a problem with the proper identification of a voter because of an old photo. This appears to me to be a completely unjustified obstacle to voter participation. The role of the State Board of Elections should be to facilitate democratic government. This proposal appears to be designed to restrict it.
