People with expired photo IDs should still be allowed to vote. The purpose of the voter ID law is to confirm the voter is who they say they are; if their ID expired a week or a month ago, that does not change their identity.
Voting is a sacred right in our democracy and should not be denied to someone simply because they forgot to renew an ID. There are other laws and fines that address expired IDs; let those regulations deal with this issue. The voter ID law should simply be used to verify the person is who they say they are. Leave it at that.
