I vote NO for a Dental Assistant II to scale subgingivally,I agree with all the others I feel this is about money and is an insult to the patients and the hygienist.  I also  had no idea there was a shortage of Dental Hygienist in SW Virginia, but I do know that there is a shortage for Dentists' at the New River Valley Free Clinic in Christiansburg!
