Board of Health,
This is struggle for minimum health standards during a demanding and complicated procedure. Regardless of anyones opinion for or against abortion, no woman in Virginia should have to endure unsanitary and dangerous conditions. In case of emergency---and mothers do die in current abortion clinics---equipment must be available and the hallways must allow for its rapid deployment. Records must be kept accurately and statutory age-limits complied with as required by state law. In a world of infections and complications, the women of Virginia deserve protection, regardless of the profit-motive of the abortion providers. William E. Wilkin
