I believe abortion clinics should be as safe as possible, but the reason Gov. McDonald signed the law to make regulations on abortion clinics the same as those of hospitals was not to improve women's health care. In fact, the result of these regulations is just the opposite.
For example, hospital hallways must be a particular width in order to accommodate the large number of patients that are admitted. It is not necessary for abortion clinics to have hallways this width due to the smaller number of patients. However, some clinics will have to close if these regulations are enforced. This means many poor women who rely on these clinics for mammograms and pap smears as well as abortions will no longer have access to these vital and life-saving procedures.
Repeal these dangerous and unjust regulations mostly brought about by a group of men who wanted to make abortions unattainable!
