Interpretation of New Voter ID Law for Virginia

When my husband's Virginia drivers license was suspended due to medical reasons, he was required to obtain a valid ID instead, which has been shown many times to prove his identity in making purchases, cashing checks, getting healh care, etc.   Each person in Virginia who attempts to use his/her voting privilege should be required in the same way to verify identity, address, physical likeness to ID photo, etc.  Otherwise, elections would become meaningless and open to many fraudulent practices.  A current,  valid ID is not difficult to obtain, and prospective qualified voters would have plenty of time and opportunities to comply with this law.  Please give careful consideration to proper interpretation of this law to protect everyone's rights.  Freedom is not free...voters must be qualified to exercise that important privilege.
