Keep expired ID as approved on June 10th

Photo IDs with an expired date need to be acceptable. The expiration date is not relevant to the purpose of the Photo ID. Not only would the need to try to read a card to find the expiration date be an added difficulty for election officials and thereby cause delays it can lead to discrimination because of a lack of uniformity. Some Photo IDs list an expiration date and others do not. Which people would get to vote?

The concern that a voter with an expired ID could vote more than once should be dispelled by the fact that our electronic system records when someone has voted.

Making the right decision to accept expired IDs, and making it quickly, is very important in reducing confusion for voters and for the process for training election officials well ahead of November 4th.

As someone else said, my ID may be expired, but I am not. I am still the person in the photo.
