Proposed legislation simply makes it that more complicated for citizens to exercise their right to participate in elections,

It places another unnecessary burden on citizens, some of whom very well might have valid reasons for not renewing their license, for example older voters who are no longer able to drive.  In addition, many folks have great difficulty obtaining transportation.

Why not simply revert to extending the franchise only to white male property owners? That is the direction this law is headed.
