I support the Board of Education's amendment to the regulation. Policy should be consistent between literature and audio/visual materials. No one should be required to read or view material that one finds so objectionable based upon salacious or gratuitous, graphically violent or sexually explicit material. Alternatives should be available, notification of the learning objectives and parental consent should be necessary. And, don't be influenced by cries of "censorship", this is a matter of parental responsibility.
