I support maximum parental involvement in the public school curriculum
Since the education of their children is ultimately the parents responsibility, not the State, I support any legislation aimed at giving parents more of a say in how the education or their children is conducted, including the right to be notified whenever controversial or challenged material will be used in their child's classroom. Parents should be provided copies of all such materials, at State expense, and a reasonable time to review and comment; plus the right to "opt out" on behalf of their child or children.
