Children should be given wholesome educational materials in school, and not books with graphic depitions of gang rape, molestation, bestiality, and violence towards children.  Parents certainly should be kept informed of what their chidlren are being taught and exposed to in school, and no 'controversial' material whatsoever should be given to children without their parent's consent.
