Facilitators

Hello I am asking DMAS to please reconsider eliminating independent Services Facilitators. My Services Facilitator, Miss Jada Meredith, takes the time to personally see William and make sure he is doing okay. She always asks if there is anything she can do to help us provide better care for him and to ease our minds. Knowing that someone is checking on William and genuinely cares about his well-being gives our family comfort and peace of mind. She knows William, understands his needs, and has built a relationship with our family. That personal relationship is extremely important to us. She is someone we can turn to when we have questions or concerns, and we know she will listen and try to help.If independent Services Facilitators are eliminated, our family could lose that trusted relationship and the individualized support we have come to depend on. We should not have to lose someone who knows William and understands our family just because of a change in how services are provided. Please consider the families behind this decision. Independent Services Facilitators provide more than a service—they provide reassurance, advocacy, and peace of mind. I respectfully ask DMAS to continue allowing families to have access to independent Services Facilitators.
