SFs might be a good idea

I don't exactly know what a service broker model is supposed to look like, but something has to change. Over twenty years, most of the Service Facilitator organizations we've worked with have swung wildly between somewhat helpful (our first one- they at least mostly were able to point us in the right direction to correct a payroll issue) to an absolute waste of time, money, and energy (four of the remaining five SFs).

Our experience with Service Facilitators shows where the "fraud" happens in the Medicaid program. It seems that everything they do is duplicative of what county case managers do. Our most recent SF can't be bothered to respond to questions, show up when scheduled, or do anything else helpful. when you consider that we are answering almost exactly the same questions for at least two other Medicaid-related individuals, service facilitators seem pointless if they aren't actually doing anything helpful.
