Keep Service Facilitators

While I understand the fiscal savings of eliminating the service facilitation factor of this process I can also see the heightened possibility that without the continued use of these services certain aspects of the services will be reduced to meaningless.

Service facilitators are the ONLY constant in this entire process. Turnover at any other point in this process is grossly high thus eliminating ANY continuity of understanding of the needs of the individual receiving the services. Adding to this factor the mundane 6 months re- evaluation process for individuals with chronic conditions will only increase turnover as most people who take on these positions do so to help individuals in need, not become glorified paper pushers.

Losing the continuity of the service facilitator will eventually harm those in need of services or heighten the possibility of certain services provided to an individual to ‘fall through the cracks’ which personally I feel is the hidden goal of this whole redefining of what safety net services is about.

Please reconsider retaining the service facilitator functions as a means to continue continuity of services for those who are most vulnerable in society.
