When I first came to recovery I was broken, homeless, and was at my bottom. I went to true recovery and sat down and listened. I took suggestions and worked the NA program as well and because of the recovery program it changed my life. It helped me get my PRS, it helped me get certified and it gave me a chance to be a residential advisor. I learned how to fldeal with other clients and see things not just from a participant point of view but from a staff point of view why Recovery is so important. It gave me hope to want to do better. It pushed me to see what everybody else was gaining thru this program. So please give these programs a chance and let the people who haven't had a chance a chance to come somewhere safe and be able to find hope into there second chance of life. If you shut these programs down it will just get worst and just make our ppl want to keep using and nothing will get better.
