It's about time the VMRC would take action on the harvesting of menhaden in the Bay and its tributaries.

I have been a  recreational fisherman for most of my 82 years and seen a decline in the availability of many species in the bay and rivers.

I was happy to see VMRC take over the management the menhaden population in the bay. and now is the time to do it.

No other state that shares the bay allows this type of fishing, shouldn't VA take a page out of Marylands book?
