It is my assumption and viewpoint that trans women/biological males are not able to compete in the world as males but find their self esteem in identifying as and competing against women. Society has caused this. The pressure exerted by society to perform is the driving motivation. What is the goal? It's no longer a point of pride to say that I am the 112th best swimmer in the USA (I'm not even in the top 1000). Instead, society has drummed in our heads that we must win at any cost. If a biological male cannot be or compete for number 1, the next best option is to compete as "women" against biological women. This is what winning at any cost looks like and it's ensuing consequences have been nothing short of destructive to biological women.
I am not a self appointed spokesperson for women. I believe that we should simply listen to women and address their concerns to prevent the abuses that biological males (trans women) present to actual biological women.
If the motivation of individuals is to discipline one's body to compete, exercise, enjoy the health benefits and to achieve the most from one's own body. This is admirable. This defines a person's character and personal integrity. This motivation is honorable and praise worthy. Men competing against women (to win at any cost) only feels good for a few moments is not honorable. The purpose of sports is to disciple the individual (inwardly and outwardly) for a life time of good health - not having a medal around one's neck for all to see that was "won at any cost". Participation trophies weren't good enough. Achieving the best you were able to be wasn't good enough either for someone with low self esteem. Men competing against women is what winning at any cost looks like. This should be enacted into law to put sports back into proper perspective. Winning is a great feeling but knowing that I do my best to build character and mental/physical discipline should be my prime motivator. Compromising only puts other's (in this case biological women) in a dangerous position.
Conclusion: I support this petition whole heartily!
