This petition would constitute a dangerous invasion of Virginian's privacy. Virginians should not need to fear invasion into their private health information to quickly, quietly, and privately use a public restroom. This does not only endanger transgender women in Virginia, but any Virginian who may be perceived as more "masculine". These rules in other states have lead to prosecution of cisgender women based on their dress, features, health conditions such as hirsutism, and ethnicity, due to racist perceptions of some races as looking more masculine. Adhering to this petition will lead to an increase in harassment and violence against all women in Virginia.
