Petition 432 will hurt transwomen and all women. Transwomen in sports are not dangerous, they are hardworking athletes who deserve to play on the field without these bigoted attacks. This petition attacks transwomen athletes on their gender, and not the quality of their athletic abilities.

Organizations like Family Foundation are the ones dangerous to all women. It seeks to control the definition of a "woman" and, in doing so, establishes rigid and harmful boxes. We have seen even ciswomen around the country being targeted for not presenting as "women enough."

Finally, this type of enforcement and public attention are a waste of taxpayer money. Transwomen represent a very small portion of the population. If the goal is to sincerely protect women, we should invest in reproductive health, maternal health, breast cancer screening, etc. that impacts significant percent of Virginians.
