I support this bill/if women want to play sports with transwomen...then create separate leagues

I support this bill and I do not understand why it is so controversial.

Women, biological women, should not be forced to play sports with transwomen.

Female sports were formed so that women (biological women) could compete against each other. Female sports were separated from male sports because men (biological men) have a distinct physical advantage, especially in regards to athletics.

I do not think it is right, safe, or fair to force women to compete in sports against transwomen. Simply stating transwomen "will suffer" if they're not included in those sports, is not a good reason to force biological women into incorporating them into those sports.

The fact that people have to specify "transwomen" as opposed to simply "women", or write out "transwomen = women", in these public comments -- demonstrates that there are in fact substantial differences between transwomen vs. women. It demonstrates that these differences are indeed noted by advocates for transwomen in (biological) female sports.

Instead of forcing biological women to compete against transwomen in sports, why don't the transwomen athletes and advocates form athletic leagues for transwomen wherein biological women can volunteer to join?

I think that option should be agreeable to both sides of the spectrum when it comes to this bill and the overall debate. Instead of forcing biological women into playing against transwomen, why don't we make this voluntary and optional? Why don't trans advocates take it upon themselves to form separate leagues for biological women who want to play sports with transwomen. Based upon the number of public comments advocating for the inclusion of transwomen in female sports, surely there are enough biological women willing to play sports against transwomen to form separate athletic leagues for this endeavor.

And if there are transwomen, advocates, and allies out there who are worried that transwomen will "greatly suffer" because they're not forced into being included into sports meant for biological females....then wouldn't those transwomen be better served seeking out counseling or therapy in order to overcome any anguish they might feel? Why would anyone want to compete in a sport against others who are forced to incorporate them?

If your emotional state is so vulnerable that there might be drastic consequences for you not being able to compete in a sport because you weren't able to force your way in, then I think there is a bigger issue at hand. You would benefit much more from addressing & focusing on your vulnerable emotional state and not being so reliant upon the acceptance of strangers, than in playing sports against people who aren't comfortable playing with you.
