Our young (biological) girls and even guys deserve better…

I am a grand-mother of a vibrant, healthy, young girl. Every indication is that she will be athletic and excited by sports. Under no circumstances should she encounter males in her private spaces nor should she encounter the discouragement of working hard at a sport only to lose to the advantages of a biological male.

I am also a retired teacher of 35 years to mostly middle school students. Exposing students at this vulnerable age to such inappropriate interactions will only magnify by thousands the confusion often experienced while their adolescent bodies are developing. Rather than sharing sports and spaces with like biological students, they are unacceptably faced with sexual feelings (that are already so strong) and shame (it is real and proven at this age) rather than gaining the confidence and camaraderie that biological sex determined safe spaces provide.

These tender years have historically been valued and protected for a reason. Young people naturally face more changes during adolescence than almost any other time. They should be able to do this in peace and security without such an inappropriate and jarring variable. We should not be experimenting these concepts on young people!!! I don’t like it at my age, but if it must be played out then it should never happen in ANY PRIVATE SPACE where young adolescents will be.

VIRGINIANS BY FAR DO NOT WANT THIS!!!
