I urge the Virginia Board of Health to approve this petition for a rule to limit female sports and spaces to biological women only.
This is important for both girls and boys. It is not about discrimination, but about fairness and safety. Ignoring biological reality in favor of an unscientific ideology harms women and girls the most, but is also bad for boys and men. A boy or man who self-identifies as a girl or woman, but then chooses to use the advantages of his biological male body to gain trophies win female sports is being motivated by something other than gender dysphoria - something unhealthy.
As the state has a duty to protect its citizen from unfair treatment and policies that erase meaningful distinctions between male and female result in unfair treatment. Please approve this request for rulemaking.
