There are so many things that should take priority over this non-problem.  Transgender individuals, like all people, have the fundamental right to determine their own gender identity and live authentically, without fear of discrimination or violence.  Denying rights based on gender identity is discriminatory and violates the principle of equality for all. Transgender individuals face disproportionate rates of discrimination, harassment, and violence, which directly threaten their safety, well-being, and ability to participate fully in society. This petition is an effort to erase PEOPLE from society.
