Dear Virginia Town Hall Representatives,
We both share the religion Christianity but one thing that makes us different is I am a queer individual. You hear people say that Trans Individuals do not belong in sports but the evidence that they give you are not accurate. If you have read the Bible, you would know that Jesus stands with people the world sees as inferior, like children or women, the sick and injured, the poor and the downtrodden…not the people who are arrogant and selfish.Jesus still lives everyone nonetheless. Man, Woman, Queer, Straight…we all matter. We were not put on this planet to judge others on their looks but their hearts, ask God yourself if you say otherwise. If you deny Trans Women to play sports in Virginia, are ALL people equal at that point? Trans woman who take estrogen pills would not inherently make them stronger than straight women, but most trans women are about equal in strength and mobility as straight women so it would be unfair to judge them just because they are trans. If someone is acting without respect for their allies or opponents, then it’s not even about the fun of the game anymore. Those are the people who shouldn’t be allowed to play if they can’t play with loyalty to their team and good sportsmanship as their first priority. Please rethink if the petition that was handed to you if you agree with all of my points. I hope you all consider my argument and I hope you all have a wonderful day.
