Audiologist should be exempt from the hearing aid specialist examination.  As an AuD student I find it very redundant and rather insulting to my doctoral education having to complete this exam.  Earning an Au.D. should be more than sufficient for dispensing hearing aids.  Audiologists are put through rigorous course work and must acquire hundreds of clinical hours in order to prepare for a career that involves the dispensing of hearing aids and so much more.
