No need to make this flowery...it's odd to require that a professional with an advanced degree in audiology take the same test that someone with a high school diploma takes (and yet and ENT is exempt from the entire process).  I think the 6-8 years of college are enough to qualify us to fit hearing aids.  If you want to be sure we are current with the state laws, fine, by all means have us tested on those.  The rest of it is redundant and insulting.
