This petition is created out of fear mongering. Trans women do not have an athletic advantage (their testosterone levels decrease). Trans women do not want to harm or endanger biological women. They just want to play like every other kid. No cis man would undergo hormone therapy just to harm women in changing areas or have an advantage playing sports. When you ban some athletes due to hormone levels, it opens the door for ALL athletes to be subjected to invasive testing and harmful judgment . Instead of recognizing women, biological or trans, for being talented or dedicated to their sport, a ban like this invites spectators to be accused of being “too masculine,” “too strong,” etc. I have a daughter who I imagine will play sports one day. I would love for her to be on a team who supported, loved ,and cared for each other as their authentic selves.
