There is a nationwide shortage on healthcare workers because the government mandated vaccines and fired those who would not receive it. This threw people into making impossible decisions and had to choose between their job and their health. Those who stayed had to work in terrible staff shortages and those who chose to not receive the vaccine were kicked out of the healthcare workforce and had to FIGHT for our rights. Those of us who pushed our way through unprecedented policies that violated our rights to choose AS WELL AS those who chose to take the vaccine are now being punished by our rates being raised to become and maintain our status as nurses and aides. After everything we went through during COVID, this is absolutely ridiculous!!
