Concerned RN

This is absolutely ridiculous. We NEED nurses and you all want to increase our nursing license after we have paid for.our schooling, renew each year, pay for our own certifications,.pay for our specialty renewals because the hospitals don't want to pay for them anymore even though they are required for the job and mandate us to work extra hours. This is just going to contribute to the healthcare systems demise! I'm sure this increase will benefit someone else's pocket who possibly has never even worked as a bedside nurse. Sure inflation has made prices of everything go up but one thing that hasn't happened is more HELP for nurses. You continue to ask for more and more each day and nothing is ever good enough. I strongly encourage any person that thinks they want to become a nurse otherwise because of the demands and lack of care from those above. So, you want to increse our license to benefit your own pocket, sounds about right coming from someone who isn't a nurse and puts only themselves first. Nurses are caring, show empathy and most of the time witness things that change their lives forever. What do we get for it? More patients, mandatory hours to work, less time with those we love, price increases and no help. Congratulations on helping healthcare go downhill if you increase our license. Sincerely a concerned RN for 18 years.
