I am writing to publicly express my concern over the increase for the license fees for RNs, LPNs, and APRNs. We are in a challenging time as a state and nation recruiting and retaining nurses. We saw throughout the pandemic that it was nursing (working collaborating with others) that held hospitals and healthcare system together. Instead of using the lessons we learned from this time to improve safe staffing or how we deliver care, legislation is introduced that punishes those licensed nurses? We should be focused on making it more desirable to enter healthcare not driving people away from it by increases fees and costs. Thank you for your time & consideration.
